Cheer Camp

The gym that Zoe goes to was offering a summer cheer camp. I knew she would really enjoy it so we signed up along with a few of her friends. They had fun all week learning a routine that they preformed at the Greenville Drive baseball game the last night. All of the girls worked so hard all week and did an awesome job! We also had some great coaches, Ms. Allie and Ms.Bree.

New Member

Kain has been bugging up forever about getting a kitten. We told him when he had the money for the adoption fee he would get one. Well the day finally came in June and we went to the Spartanburg Humane Society to find his perfect cat. As soon as he saw Shirley he said she was the one. He has now changed her name to Minnie but all I hear him say is kitty. He is completely in charge of her. We do not feed, water or change the little box. Kain has done a great job so far taking care of Minnie. I swear we are turning into a zoo!

Forever Young

It makes this mamas heart happy when I see my “little” boy still playing with toy soldiers. It just proves that not all kids need some high priced electronic all the time. Now I am not saying we don't have any but our kids still like to use their imaginations. I hope he always uses his imagination and remember the simple things in life.

#8~ Take a Day Trip to the Beach

When I mentioned a day trip to the beach some of my friends thought I was crazy going for just the day. I knew  that it would  be the only way we would be able to go.  We just don’t have the time or finances to spend a few days at the beach. We use to do this all the time when the kids were little but it has been a few years. We convinced two families to join us the Laney’s and Martin’s. We loaded up our cars with coolers, sand buckets and boogie boards then hit the road. Isle of Palms was our final destination and three hours later we were there. We piled all of things out onto the beach and set up camp for the day. We had lots of fun and made some great memories.  So even if you can’t afford a vacation at the beach you can go for at least the day!

I love that my kids are making so many memories with all of their friends!

Corey and Zoe are always building something every time we go to the beach. I never can wait to see what creature Corey has came up with.

#38- Visit a State Park

We have been able to visit a few state parks this summer but we had the most fun at Table Rock State Park. They have a lake that you can swim in with a high dive! Reminded me of when I went to summer camp when I was a little girl. Of course I wasn’t going to climb up there now but the kids LOVED it! We took some friends with us and we underestimated how hot it was going to be that day. We made sure to put plenty of sunscreen on the kids but Melissa, and I were burnt by the end of the day.  I love finding fun places that are cheap!
